We have birth and death records for the years 1893 through January 1906. After 1906, records are recorded in New Castle, PA. Birth and Death records before 1893 do not exist. Certified copies of birth records are $10.00 and certified copies of death records are $9.00. You can obtain an application for birth and death records after January 1906 in our office or you can order or print the application for them on-line at www.health.state.pa.us/vitalrecords
Marriage records begin at 1885 to the present time. Some are on microfilm. Computer records exist from 1989 to present time. Photocopies are $1.00 per page and $5.00 for a certified copy.
Estate records begin from approximately 1808 to present time. Some are also on microfilm. Computer records exist from 1993 to present time. Photocopies are .50 per page.
There is a $5.00 research fee. This fee depends on the volume of records requested. Please call for the exact cost.
No wills are recorded here until a person passes away.

Marriage License Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If applicant is under the age of 18, they will need the consent of one parent. If they are under the age of 16, they will need both parents and a Judge's consent.
*If previously married: If divorced, a copy of the most recent divorce decree is needed. If the spouse has died, date of death is needed.
All applicants must have a photo I.D. and apply together & in person.
Filing fee is $60.00 CASH. *If consent is required, add $2.00 each.
We take marriage applications Monday - Friday from 9 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
There will be a 3-day waiting period before the license is issued.
The license is valid for sixty (60) days from the date that it is issued.
