The Cambria County Prison provides for the care, custody and control of those individuals who have been charged or convicted of a criminal offense as determined by the legal committing authority. We ensure an institutional environment which serves to provide protection and safety for the citizens, staff and the legally incarcerated of Cambria County.
Current Covid-19 Statistics- There were no positive cases of Covid-19 within the prison until September 23, 2020. Since that date there have been a total of 483 positive cases- 101 prison employees, 8 contract employees, and 374 inmates/detainees. The facility is following all CDC, federal, state, and local guidelines in order to effectively prevent and mitigate the spread of Covid-19.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
Effective July 19, 2021, religious volunteers may resume visitation/services at the prison Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm- mask wearing is mandatory.
Effective July 19, 2021, personal visitation will resume on a modified schedule, the schedule is posted in the documents below.
AS OF 11/4/2021- NO VISITATION FOR UNITS HA, HB, HC, HE- (Female), HDW, HDE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Effective July 19, 2021, Professional visitation is permitted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm- mask wearing is mandatory.
ATTORNEYS SHOULD CALL PRIOR TO VISITING CLIENTS
Effective July 19, 2021, the money kiosk in the prison lobby will re-open.
Effective July 19, 2021, the prison lobby will close at 5:00 pm daily.
Treatment related volunteer visits will resume at a later date, information will be posted on this site.
All visitors must clear the COVID-19 screening process, including temperature check, and must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
