It is the mission of the Human Resources Department to provide personnel resources and continuously seek to improve upon the systems that support County employees and administrators with the essential functions necessary to fulfill their employment-related needs and objectives.


Services Provided

  • Administers employment-related directives from the County Board of Commissioners
  • Administers unemployment and workers compensation programs
  • Negotiates and administers all collective bargaining agreements between the county and its employees
  • Monitors and refers individuals to Employee Assistance Program resources
  • Administers all employee payroll and benefits
  • Conducts periodic labor/management meetings

The County of Cambria is seeking applicants for an Ad Valorem Tax Assessor. The position involves the assessing of properties within the county. Candidates must have a High School Diploma, minimum of five courses in real estate or equivalent fields, or Associate Degree in related field or a Bachelor's Degree or have a background in building construction and components. Full-Time Corrections Officer - Prison

Cambria County Prison, Ebensburg, PA, is seeking individuals to fill open full-time Corrections Officer Positions. Individuals must have, or be willing to complete the mandatory training as required by the Pennsylvania regulations governing adult detention facilities. Starting rate of pay is $20.40/hr. with pay increases based upon the union's employment contract. Benefits include sick time, holiday pay, shift differential, personal days, vacation days, Healthcare/Dental/Vision coverage, and retirement. Overtime is available. Correctional Officers - Prison (Per Diem)
