It is the mission of the Human Resources Department to provide personnel resources and continuously seek to improve upon the systems that support County employees and administrators with the essential functions necessary to fulfill their employment-related needs and objectives.

 

Services Provided

  • Administers employment-related directives from the County Board of Commissioners
  • Administers unemployment and workers compensation programs
  • Negotiates and administers all collective bargaining agreements between the county and its employees
  • Monitors and refers individuals to Employee Assistance Program resources

      Watchman/Custodian

Candidate will be responsible for the custodial care and security of all County Buildings and surrounding grounds. Watchman/Custodian carries out routine assignments relating to the custodial care of all County's buildings, as well as safeguarding these County buildings. Applications can be found at this website.      Correctional Officers - Prison (Per Diem)

      Clerk Typist - Accepting applications for all clerical positions

Candidates work independently performing a variety of advanced and general clerical tasks, which requires independent judgement and actions. Responsibility for the overall clerical functions of the office. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Prior clerical experience is preferred. 

      Law Clerk - The Court of Common Pleas, 47th Judicial District, Cambria County Courthouse

The Honorable Tamara R. Bernstein is inviting applications for the position of Judicial Law Clerk for the Court of Common Pleas of Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The position is for one year beginning in August 2020. The length of employment may be extended. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be an employee of Cambria County, subject to the control of the Court. There is a comprehensive benefits package which includes: medical, vision, and dental plans (subject to copayments); and paid holidays. The starting salary is $50,903.16 per year.Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited school, and be proficient with legal research and writing. Law Review or Moot Court experience is desirable, but not required. Admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is not a requirement for the position.
