It is the mission of the Human Resources Department to provide personnel resources and continuously seek to improve upon the systems that support County employees and administrators with the essential functions necessary to fulfill their employment-related needs and objectives.


Services Provided

  • Administers employment-related directives from the County Board of Commissioners
  • Administers unemployment and workers compensation programs
  • Negotiates and administers all collective bargaining agreements between the county and its employees
  • Monitors and refers individuals to Employee Assistance Program resources
  • Administers all employee payroll and benefits
  • Conducts periodic labor/management meetings

   CYS Administrator 3- Children and Youth Services

Candidates will be responsible for the administrative and supervisory nature in the field of Children & Youth Services. The work involves the preparation of the Annual Needs Based Plan & Budget in cooperation with other responsible officials. The work includes coordination with agency programs around community needs, available resources, and the evaluation of program and staff effectiveness. Employees direct the operation of the Children & Youth Social Services program through Assistant Administrator and supervisory staff. Program interpretation and community planning for the needs of Children & Youth are major responsibilities of the work. Supervision is exercised over professional, fiscal, and clerical staff. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Commissioners and reviewed for adherence to establish departmental, State, and Federal policies and procedures through conferences, written reports, and evaluation of results attained.      Grant Facilitator - 

Candidates will be responsible for the County's day to day management of grant writing, grant applications, reporting, and compliance. A four-year undergraduate degree with at least 12 credits in Business Management, Business Administration, or related fields or at least two years of project management work/grant writing with projects related to local government or any equivalent experience is required. Previous background and work experience in grant facilitation are preferred. Applications can be found at this website.      Correctional Officers - Prison (Per Diem)

     Telecommunicators - Department of Emergency Services

Must exercise the ability to think, comprehend, interpret and analyze the root of existing and ever changing situations making appropriate recommendations when receiving emergency or non-emergency calls.
