The Tax Claim Office is responsible for the collection of delinquent school, municipal and county real estate property taxes and it prepares and conducts County tax sales. The office’s mission is to maintain public records of all real estate which possess unpaid taxes and to issue tax lien information when real estate is transferred accordingly. The next Private Tax Sale will be held in June 16, 2025 at 10:00am in Courtroom #1 of the Cambria County Courthouse. The sale list may be found below. Registered bidders should arrive prior to 10:00am, in order to get their bidder number. No one will be admitted or given their number once I begin going over the sale terms/conditions/procedures. BEGINNING APRIL 1, 2025,A $250.00 FEE WILL BE ADDED TO THE COSTS FOR ALL PROPERTIES SOLD AT ANY TAX SALE (UPSET, JUDICIAL, PRIVATE OR REPOSITORY) PURSUANT TO CAMBRIA COUNTY ORDINANCE # 5 OF 2024. A COPY OF THE ORDINANCE MAY BE FOUND BELOW. ALL PRIVATE SALES WILL HAVE A CAP OF 50 PROPERTIES. EACH BIDDER WILL BE PERMITTED TO PUT UP TO FOUR PROPERTIES ON THE LIST, PER SALE.
