The Tax Claim Office is responsible for the collection of delinquent school, municipal and county real estate property taxes and it prepares and conducts County tax sales. The office’s mission is to maintain public records of all real estate which possess unpaid taxes and to issue tax lien information when real estate is transferred accordingly.

Our Judicial Tax Sale has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 10:00am in Courtroom #1.  The List of Properties to be offered is below.  Bidder Registration will take place form Monday, November 10, 2025 through Friday, November 21, 2025 in the Tax Claim Bureau Office.  PLEASE NOTE: Our office is CLOSED on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in observance of Veterans’ Day.  Registration must be done in person, by each prospective purchaser.  Bidder registration information and forms can be found below.

BEGINNING APRIL 1, 2025,A $250.00 FEE WILL BE ADDED TO THE COSTS FOR ALL PROPERTIES SOLD AT ANY TAX SALE (UPSET, JUDICIAL, PRIVATE OR REPOSITORY) PURSUANT TO CAMBRIA COUNTY ORDINANCE # 5 OF 2024.  A COPY OF THE ORDINANCE MAY BE FOUND BELOW.

PRIVATE SALE MINIMUM BIDS ARE NOW $750.00, BEGINNING WITH THE MARCH, 2026 PRIVATE TAX SALE. WE WILL BEGIN TAKING BIDS OCTOBER 1, 2025 AND WILL ADD PROPERTIES UNTIL DECEMBER 19, 2025 OR UNTIL WE HAVE 50 PARCELS, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.

ALL PRIVATE SALES WILL HAVE A CAP OF 50 PROPERTIES.  EACH BIDDER WILL BE PERMITTED TO PUT UP TO FOUR PROPERTIES ON THE LIST, PER SALE.  This will not preclude anyone from bidding on all eligible properties at the auction.
