The mission of the District Attorney’s Office is to seek justice, uphold the Constitution, and to protect the safety and rights of the community through the fair, impartial, and ethical enforcement of the law. We are committed to prosecuting criminal offenses with integrity, respecting the rights of the victims and the rights of the accused, and to ensuring every case is handled with professionalism, transparency, and accountability.

Protection From Abuse (PFA)
If you are the victim of domestic violence, you have the right to go to court and file a petition requesting an order for protection from domestic abuse, or PFA.

There is no cost to filing a PFA.

Requirements for a PFA are as follows:
There has to be a familial relationship by blood, marriage or former intimate partners, and you must have a reasonable fear of imminent bodily harm that can be demonstrated to the judges.
